Spirituality

The Spirituality of the Heart is our way of life. It is the power of the Holy Spirit within us who breathes forth Love—the love which Christ has for his Father and for all men, especially the poor.

It is this spirituality that makes us what we are – persons who, like Christ, are constantly tuned in to the guidance of the Spirit, sensitive and obedient to Christ’s direction, and generously responding to his demands as manifested in the cries, needs and aspirations of our people.

Our MSC Spirituality entails the recognition that God is present among His people and continues to reveal Himself in them as the God of Justice and Love. Imbued with these qualities of his Spirit, we concern ourselves with the concrete situations of sinfulness, particularly injustice, and support our people in their serious aspirations and struggle for total human liberation. We will adopt a lifestyle which signifies this support.
