CONGRATULATIONS TO CFA

We congratulate CFA (Communication Foundation for Asia) for winning a special human rights award for its Peace Camp project and video documentary. The award was given jointly by the Toronto-based WACC (World Association for Christian Communication) and the Brussels-based SIGNIS (the World Catholic Association for Communication). The documentary is entitled “Dear Peace” which is based on the Peace Camp project that promotes cooperation and understanding between Christian and Muslim students from Ramon Avanceña High School in Quiapo. The video documentary was directed by Fr Stephen Cuyos, MSC.

Congratulations to CFA for the special Human Rights award for the video “Dear Peace”. Congratulations, too, to Steve for the realization of the project and for being its director. My wish is for this video to be shown to be shown in many parts of the country (Philippines), and for it to be exhibited in many parts of the world. There are still so many biases and acts of discrimination because of one’s religion or beliefs; many have been lost in the name of religion. Many people are suffering, … there is no peace. And this is not what we want, .. this is not what the youth want. We want peace and brotherhood.
