SURIGAO CITY, Philippines – Surigao City government officials and MSC superiors gathered on 11 December 2008 in Canlanipa for a ceremony to dedicate a street in honor of the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart.

The street leading to the MSC Shrine in Canlanipa, Surigao City is now known as “MSC Street.”

Surigao City Mayor Alfonso Casurra presented the new street to Fr Mark McDonald, the MSC General Superior on the afternoon of 11 December 2008.
